When my post show I'm stupid? What the hell do you even mean by that? You just proved to us that you have given the topic absolutely no thought and said something extreme. Banning everything or legalising everything is fucking retarded.Peter wrote:

I was just picking up on the point that alcohol is legal, even though it is a lot more dangerous than many illegal substances. People who don't know anything about drugs just assume illegal=bad government knows what's best for me lets go get pissed start fights cause criminal damage etc. OH MY GOD THOSE GUYS ARE CHILLING OUT LISTENING TO MUSIC SMOKING WEED ARREST THEM.CammRobb wrote:

thats a little short sighted. people see all the gangs and murders/executions on the border over drugs and cant help but think bad of them. right or wrong it is what it is. the people get to choose and they choose no.Peter wrote:

The far-reaching consequences of drink and illicit drugs are so different it's unreal. Learn about them before you come here pawning off a fake-intelligence.Peter wrote:

hahahaha
I have researched drugs a lot. And them some more. Pretty sure you have not.
You know why? Because I don't want to do anything stupid. Think the adverts for drink responsibly. Same with any other drug. Responsibly they are fine. You just have to be smart enough to know when to stop, which is something some people lack the willpower to do.
Show me some evidence of cannabis being more dangerous than alcohol.

Bob Marley got cancer from weed smoking.
I'm not on about that. Explain to me why legalising all illicit drugs would be a sensible course of action?Peter wrote:

There is no 'responsibly' with drugs. GO and have a shot of heroin, snort some cocaine that you don't know what it's been cut with, go and half one ecstacy tablet and collapse from dehydration and fatigue.
Drugs and responsibly my arse hahahaha.

By making drugs illegal you put dangerous people in charge of them. You fund these dangerous people and violence becomes a serious problem. A truly free man doesn't need permission or risk of imprisonment for putting a substance in his own body.

Yes because doing that would be responsible. I don't really know much about heroin but i'd say a responsible amount of heroin is no heroin.CammRobb wrote:

I would never do coke because I know how unpure it is. (~15% says frank). I'd try it if I knew I was actually just doing coke.
And when swim does ecstasy he makes sure to drink the recommended pint of water per hour.
What you said was the complete opposite of being responsible. Good reading comprehension.
Yes, because ingesting MDMA cut with other stuff in a tablet is responsible, as long as you keep your fluids topped up.Peter wrote:

You idiot. Stop trolling.
Bob Marley's cancer had nothing to do with him smoking. It supposedly was from an infection in his foot after he cut it or something during a football game. That's where the whole "CIA killed Bob Marley" conspiracy comes from.
I don't have time to argue properly now because I have to go to work with that job I have whilst also being at a top 20 university. How's your life?
Oh my GOD you called my social standing into question? How can I think of a comeback to that?!Peter wrote:

Going pretty good. I made the Dean list. Gotta keep up the GPA for Rutger Grad School. Also I just got a hair cut. Gotta look good for those rice burners. Also I paid off my credit card. I am going to get a motorcycle this summer. Thanks for asking, Peter.
Yup. Wiki said he had melanoma in his toe. He injured the toe in a fightbattlematchsomething. When it was about to get better a French footy player stepped on it and it got worse. He refused to amputate it although the docs recommended it. It spread into his whole body after that.KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

I'm also thinking about getting a new video game. Dragon Age Origins sounds like a winner.
Marlo, lend me a tenner mate.

What about allowing people to grow plants themselves? If you allowed that, you would take out the dangerous drug trade. Legalize it and regulate it and you take out the gangsters and drug lords. Though they'll more than likely move to some other drug, so it's really a hard fight.11 Bravo wrote:

I'm all for the legalization, or at least the decriminalization of marijuana. It's one of the least dangerous substances on the planet and doesn't cause any physical addiction whatsoever (unlike tobacco or alcohol). One of the only reasons that cannabis is illegal is because the hemp industry was threatening the cotton industry back in the 40s/50s and the lobbyists for the cotton industry got that shut down real fast. You still needed to apply for a license to grow hemp, but it was legal to do back then and makes for a better fiber than cotton (more durable and if I recall, cheaper). The only "downside" is the small THC content that hemp has. But instead of making marijuana illegal and leaving hemp legal, the entire cannabis family was shut out. Campaign against marijuana and hemp shut down one very potentially beneficial agricultural industry (hemp). Alas, the lobbyists and conservative America wins out again (a pattern to be repeated for decades to come).
As far as stuff like this mephodrone or ecstasy - that is some dangerous stuff. Synthetic drugs are some of the most dangerous and as someone said, cocaine isn't even pure at all (pure cocaine would, however, likely kill you). Cocaine is largely a very synthetic drug to begin with. The origins are certainly natural, but the process to turn coca leaves into cocaine is more chemical based (marijuana on the other hand involves simple drying and curing and requires ZERO chemicals outside of any fertilizer that the grower decides to use, similar to tobacco production). Same thing with meth - chemical. Then look at the people that do meth - they lose their minds. Drugs like these have no place whatsoever in modern society.
If you REALLY want a hallucinogen, however, there are many natural, non-lethal ways of getting high. A friend of mine is really into these all-natural hallucinogens, I personally want nothing at all to do with them, but from what he's described to me, much of it is rather harmless and non-addicting and the highs typically don't last very long in reality, but seem to last much longer for the person that's high. Matter of taste, I suppose.
It's pretty clear that there will never be a large acceptance of any kind of drug culture in the English-speaking countries, outside of perhaps Canada. As open as so many English-speaking countries are culturally, deep down they are just far too conservative in their politics in many cases.
irony.11 Bravo wrote:
