What would you put together for a good solid gaming rig?

Why so much Vcore? I need 1.27V for ~4.1GHz and 2x 800RPM fans on the cooler.

Hey Euro guys. Do you buy components online? Are the stores trustworthy and how do they handle their guarantee issues?

I'm thinking on buying an ASUS HD5870 but it seems to be sold out everywhere like almost the rest of the video cards in the country. What's going on now that they're sold out all of a sudden?

ATi are always low on stock, especially with the >5850 cards.

I'm thinking about getting a SSD to boot from to save times, as my current ones shite.
Thing ive noticed is the 2.5" ones are considerably cheaper than the 3.5" ones, would there be any significant difference in using one instead of the other (apart from mounting issues)?
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.

Cool, apart from the obvious size difference, i cant seem to find anything advantageous about the 3.5" ones.
They're almost double the price in some cases.

Look into Intel X25-M G2, you'll not be dissappointed.

Will do, I'm hoping to save about £250 and make the jump from My shitty old 160GB seagate barracuda + vista 64 basic to a decent SSD and Win 7.
Gonna go for a small SSD, keep the old hard drive for storage for a bit then add an F3 in to.

Whether computers work or not is just a matter of the user's intelligence.

Or, you know, a matter of the integrity of the hardware and the software.

Only a douche would post their own FB comments. Not that I think that you are a douche or anything. I just thought you should be warned.

I have just issued an RMA of my EVGA 8800 Ultra Superclocked. I really believe they have good service. I have read that some got GTX 280 in return. I don't know what am going to get....
My problem is that both cards must have the same GPU if I want to run SLI.
I really hope this works out.

any experiences, tips?

Run the GTX280 as graphics and 8800 as physics, im sure ive read this was possible somewhere.
