So across Cali students are protesting massive tuition hikes because their states imploded and their education budget is going to get cut. As a student myself, I couldn't care any less about the students in this case or in general.

I mean why should the tax payers spend money for a student to get a degree in Philosophy while they set up leagues based on Harry Potter games?

How is this in anyway a good return on an investment in an college education?
Wouldn't this whole 'student loan overhaul' make college more open and accessible thus raising cost of everyone including tax payers? Seems like such a waste having people spend most of college going to parties or having a run through all the sluts on campus.

In my honest opinion, higher education should be more like technical schools, where students aren't given massive amount of free time or a chance to 'find themselves' or 'expand their minds' but instead learn useful skills.

Furthermore, I'm only supportive of the government overhaul of students loans if the money is only given out to people who take useful majors like engineering or economics and not majors like art or philosophy.

I believe 78% of Americans don't have a college education.  So I guess they are forced to subsidize those in state-run schools?

If public universities didn't exist we would have more ITT-Tech, National Universities, Universities of Phoenix (these are all for profit schools for those outside the United States).

Its really the Teacher Unions that are fucking up our schools (can you say $200,000/year teachers in Chicago with tenure).

For the record I went to Community College and then a state University for my degree.

Edit: Education is not a right after the 12th grade.

Yes.  And what I just wish now that I'm paying $700/week in taxes that they don't waste it.  California has been going down the tubes since Jerry Brown legallized state employee unions.

I wish government unions did not exist and that all pay raises for govrnment employees had to be voted publically by elected officials.

Seriously. Then, oh wait! It'd be filled by people who are doing the job because they actually want to and have a love and passion for it. Our founding fathers are /facepalm'ing at us right now.

Wouldn't this whole 'student loan overhaul' make college more open and accessible thus raising cost of everyone including tax payers? Seems like such a waste having people spend most of college going to parties or having a run through all the sluts on campus.

Look at that OP.
It's fucking beautiful, has a picture and a bunch of integrated links as well as even a highlighted area of what exactly is the point of the OP.
I'm proud of that one. Should frame it TBH.

So according to you, students aren't allowed to do whatever they want in their spare time, however ridiculous it is?
