Don't you only lose four points if you get punished? I thought that if you are forgiven it only takes away two points.
Plus you didn't factor in Team Damage and Team Vehicle Damage.

I thought it was -8 points for a punish and only -4 if you are forgiven.
whoah, thats harsh sewer, -8 pts?!?! lol nahh, i think it's -4 for a punish and -2 for a forgive
well on occasion after I have been punished for a tk I see -8 in my team score. I've heard others complain about loosing that many points as well.

On my Server is -4 for Teamkill Punished or Not, and if you Get Punished 5 Times you get System Kicked.
-4 each time I happen to do an accidental TK... 65 in total to date. I do think if you get punished, you lose more though.

im getting sick and tired of getting punished for shooting red, just to find out his on your side, they really need to fix that fast.
387 / 120 / 108 - and easily half of those have been due to mine / claymore / C4 morons commiting suicide.

I'm starting to agree with others that claim EA excells at breaking whatever works, and ignoring whatever's broken. Ala the "Red / Blue Bug":
My very first online BF2 round - Dragon Valley - and I chose the Power Station spawnpoint. I spawn next to an APC to find an M1A and about 10 infantry (all red) "over-running" the CP.
Apparently nobody notices me, so I jump into the APC, kill the tank with a single (lucky) rocket, and drop about 6 or 7 soldiers when it occurs to me that a.) I'm kicking some serious ass for a n00b; and b.) Perhaps because nobody is shooting back . . . ?
Of course I get auto-kicked within moments of these revelations, although at the time I have absolutely no idea why - or that there's an "ongoing from Day 1" glitch in the Team ID coding.

TKs + punish (60%) + damage + veh damage
looks like i got away easy... sad thing is, 60% of the people i tked punished me, and something like 90% of those tks were unintentional vehicle kills.
didnt anyone teach these people to look both ways before running out into the street?!

Thanks for the reminder - I forgot to consider the "jaywalkers" . . .
The one thing i hate, is that you see a UAV with about 20 people flashing on it, theres one person on your team there, your in your F-15 (or whatever) miss everthing but you team mate, and they punish, if this ever happens to me i always forgive, tking is way to easy in this game

-4 points, no matter if punished or forgiven... If it's punished it will just take less votes to kick you.

nope, Any tk is -4, punish or forgive, though you usually get a couple team damage etc, -2
