Aren't they removing women's hockey unless the other teams get better?
I may be mistaking but some of the other Nordic countries players are in us college and uni. So to develop better teams in their countries they will have to step up a good program in a rush manner for the 12 & + year old then move to the younger ones. Those players away are not involved in their countries enough to bring a bigger pool of players. Yes, no I'm not sure. This argument is debatable I know.
Is this threat to remove the sport serious, I can't tell but going public means something. I'm sure there's huge lobbying behind the scene ATM. That's a challenge to achieve that is put forth to the other countries IMHO.
Now do you remember Swiss 1st Olympics in men's hockey?
I'm sure they were not that great. This year they were competitive.
What about the French, Lettonia, etc? Some got beaten pretty badly over time.
It needs the proper time to develop.
Yeah get rid of Curling and dancing skating and I will be happy.
For the celebration after the gold medal yesterday.
I'm for it, after wining were all thought that celebrating after victory is all right.
Just not where it did happen. After wining the Stanley cup there's champagne flowing.
Just celebrate in the locker room not on the ice and that will be fine.
