"Going full circle" is when it is trolling, and that is precisely what makes it trolling. An actual troll makes normal members respond as they would if the troll was completely serious - you do that by making a thread that is believably serious. The word keeps getting thrown around to mean someone who is just being a dick or has a radical but rational (in their mind anyways) idea, but that's just not what a troll is.
