Awwww deary me that poor Canadian skating woman.  Her Mum dies 2 days ago and she carries on an competes; come off the ice and cries her eyes out.

I wear that t shirt, I won us promotion in 06 and as all my mates ran on to the pitch I sat in the middle of the wicked crying my eyes out, they sort of skidded to  halt.  All I wanted was to ring my Mum up and tell her what I had just done.  Playing your sport is probably the best thing you can do when you loose someone as when I walk on any pitch nothing matters other than me and the ball.  Its like having 8 pints in you, you might aswell throw your watch to the side, time means fuck all.  My Mum died on a Friday I played hockey the next day and the boys couldn't believe it, just seemed the right thing to do.  After the funeral I took a year out.

I hope this poor girl gets through this and comes out stronger on the other side, she'll be surrounded by all her mates and this is when she'll need them the most.  God bless her.

What happened? Got checked to the ice and lost his helmet?

He got checked hard, and went all limp before his head even hit the ice, his helmet flew also off before impact. It looked fucking mean, I mean blood just poured out.

Christ, that makes me think of a Patrice Cormier's check earlier this year, a guy from my area. Slammed his elbow right in Mikael Tam's head. Violent hit if anything for the Fin.

Miller has been amazing since the NHL lockout. I watch him almost every game, he has incredible saves every night. It's very rare to see him have an off day.

Nah, My sis and her friends apparently hung out with people who hung out with the younger Koivu and Kiprusoff. Never met them in person though, I think. Or I did before they got huge, but just didn't give them the time of day, can't recall. Except for.. ..remember when I had that red Opel Astra which I posted here for people to pimp. Well, the previous owner was Kippers older bro, defenseman Marko Kiprusoff. Lulz.
