I don't think he would need a press conference to announce that.
I think he will dump his sponsors since most of them are douche companies anyway. Not like he needs the money either.

Maybe in 5 years he comes back (without sponsors either!). This is to prove to his wife that he is serious about her, their kids and their marriage.

I think Tiger should return for the Masters. Reason being if the fans talk trash they will not be aloud back to the Masters. Tiger is now practicing again and it looks better and better that he will come back and play this year. I think he wouldn't try before then because the match play tournament is over and there is only Bay Hill left where he will be the defending champion if you go by what he did last year.
