amazing... I miss the launch I saw when I was in Cocoa Beach last March

I swear every time I hear about a launch it's always the last night launch. If there is another scrubbed flight due to weather is there a chance of another night launch?

It's usually reattempted soon and the windows only vary by a few minutes day to day (about 15 mins). There are only four more launches left in total now. So unless they scrub a launch for weeks this was in fact the last night launch.

It'll be weird when the Shuttle is retired. Read about their attempts to prolong its service, but they couldn't because some of the companies supplying the parts had already shut down when their contracts were stopped.

I heard that they'd be taken by the Russians until something was sorted out, or is it as soon as the Shuttles are finished the new thing is coming into service straight away?

the Russians are going to help out, the ares I was on a schedule to first launch in 2015 if i remember correctly
