There was a lot of debate in here about whether or not she was Vice Presidential candidate material in the run up to the election... and a lot of people here argued in her favour. There is now talk that she might run again at some stage in the future... this makes her debate-worthy. She's been caught a cropper here doing the same thing she criticized Obama for, she has to face the slings and arrows now... that's just how the world (and politics in particular) works.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

The point is - she's a politician. Wow she's stupid, congratulations, you identified a stupid politician. Having a "look how stupid Palin is" circle jerk doesn't impress anyone and it doesn't accomplish anything. Consider the fact that this of all things is what you guys want to string her up for...come on.
A similar example in Northern Ireland would be the First Minister who criticized homosexuality as immoral, citing Leviticus as part of her reasoning. She has recently been caught having an affair with a then 19 year old man whom she solicited loans for through her office. The same part of the Bible that she used to condemn homosexuals also says that unfaithful wives should be stoned to death. She is getting slated in the press now... and she deserves every bit of it.
Palin's faux pas is a similar, though less severe, example of hypocrisy in public office.
