Buying a pre-built for work. Where should I start?  Lenovo, Dell, HP, etc?

Budget is probably $1000-$1500ish including a monitor.

Your work doesn't decide what computers you get to use? @_@
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Pretty much anything general for a business.  Browsing, email, some picture editing, lots of multitasking.

At least 4GB RAM, a quad core and 7 x64 is what I'm looking for to start.

Its being ordered from my Dad, who can sell pretty much any Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc you can find in Canada
