Lol, the monitor is awesome! The little green plastic thing in it is pretty cool...
I'm never going to actually grow shit in it...
Also this monitor was cheap aswell.. i got it for $199. AU, which is like what.. 150 US?
Some guy had bought it and not liked it.. so it had been out of the wrapping once XD

everything i write is a ramble and should not be taken seriously.... seriously. ♥
You could easily grow a little hemp plant in that. That'd be dope (just realized what I wrote, pun NOT INTENDED!).
I got the stuff I ordered last week today! One ultra-cheap 24" monitor for my LAN computer, one Xonar DX and one 500GB Samsung F3 for a friend of mine. He's tired of using my 1996 Dacmagic that takes five minutes to start and a 2006 320GB drive that barely does 60MB/s, and I'm tired of using a 17" monitor whenever I'm away for gaymen.
The monitor set me back a whopping 179€. It's a 24" 16:9 (1920x1080) story with a frame made out glossy China-plastic that feels like it comes from recycled food packaging. It weighs four kilograms, half of what my IBM 17" monitors do! Performance-wise, it's OK. Rated 5ms GTG, but suffers from more ghosting than my 2007 Packard Bell. It has OK-ish colours and quite good contrast, but suffers from some backlight bleed.
Not bad for the price, though. Half a year ago you'd barely get a 22" for this price. A big plus is that it's got DVI, which none of the other micro-budget monitors do.
Oh, and I got myself a mouse pad, a 13€ Ulti-Mat X3. The MDF of my desk was getting worn down by the mouse Really nice surface and grip on the table. Feels just as good as the more expensive pads I've tried. The logo is also coloured cloth and not just printed on there, so you can slide the mouse over it without feeling it.

The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
The difference a mousepad makes is surprising. I have loved my everglide titan since the first time I used it.
As for what I bought, just got my HD555's yesterday. Simply amazing.

Freezer, try varnishing your desk.. My desk is MDF too, I varnished it and my mouse has no problems. My wrists get a bit sweaty, though, and sweat + constant movement is actually having an effect. I might go for a Steelseries mousepad. Anyone had one?
Nah, not gonna waste money on that. It'd get ruined in no time, as this is mainly a workbench.Finray wrote:

EDIT: Holy hell, this thing is rated 2x30W (or even 2x25, depending on where you look), but it's powerful enough to bottom out my JBLs without clipping (or even making its lights glow dimmer!), and they should take up toward 100W before reaching Xmax!
I wish Sony made that kind of stuff today.

Lenovo S12 with nvidia ION for my dad. Pictured with my Lenovo R500 for reference. Very nice machine. ION makes a huge difference for netbooks. Even plays 1080p X264 .mkv flawlessly. Keyboard is large enough even for my sausage fingers. Screen is insanely bright. Used it @ 3/10 the whole day. Extended use @ 100% will give you a tan.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
