that's a pretty good quote actually considering most western philosophy (e.g. heidegger) now acknowledges that art's search for beauty is a sort of metaphysical, intellectual and transcedental form of 'truth' that excels the nominalist definitions of the ancient greeks in socrates/plato with their anti-poet dialectics.AussieReaper wrote:

And you can contrast that period in the search for beauty through art, to the "heavenly perfection" so strived for during the Renascence period.Uzique wrote:

Problem with these essays though is you can pretty much write towards any tangent and still remain on subject.
the problem is i have to stick very closely to a formed argument and back it up hardcore
great fun exploring all the tangents and the philosophical discussions, but ive got to concisely wager an argument and substantiate it in 2,500 words. in such a big subject you get lost and it's hard to make that word limit count. especially when it's 6am and you're rushing to simply make up space before 8am so you can shower and rush off to a seminar that you haven't even slept for, let alone done the reading/studying.

Named FatherTed, Mekstizzle and CanadianLoser.
And only two of them walk out.

Correction, none if them walk out... First you have an Irishman... The Irish famed or blowing shit up... Then you have a moozlim, famed for blowing shit up... Then you have a canadian, famed for pussying out of everythingAussieReaper wrote:

Yeah hover over their last update and there'll be a "hide" button to the right I think, then if you click that it'll ask for confirmation of hiding that specific person.Sisco10 wrote:
