because they are not practicing Islam. It goes back to my previous post. They might be good people, but they are not practicing Islam the way it is taught written and practiced by Muahammad. Even True Muslims would find these good people as the enemy, and have in fact.Braddock wrote:
Depends on the competition and the governing body! For example a premiership league match will play 90 minutes with no extra-time or penalty shoot-outs, and an English knock-out competition such as the FA cup will have replays in the event of a draw, and penalties in the event of the replay being a draw. By contrast a UEFA match will use the away goals rule and even play with extra referees behind the goal-line... but it's all still soccer! And in any case, using your soccer analogy I could compare Shia Islam to the Premiership and Sunni Islam to the UEFA Champions league. Most religions have divisions and schisms; saying that one extremist interpretation is the only true definition of a religion is ridiculously blinkered and quite ignorant tbh.lowing wrote:
And how many different rules do professional soccer players in the same league play by? One?You mean on islam-watch.org? There's also plenty of evidence of Muslims integrating quite happily into Western society, you just choose to ignore it. To illustrate this point I will draw your attention to a of list quotes published by the 'Atheist Ireland' group on the 1st of January to test the new law...lowing wrote:
I do not see Islam as modernizing, I see it as intrusive and ever more demanding of others to accommodate it, rather than Islams determination to assimilate to the west. Like it or not there is plenty of evidence to support that opinion.
• Conor Cruise O’Brien, 1989: “In the last century the Arab thinker Jamal al-Afghani wrote: 'Every Muslim is sick and his only remedy is in the Koran’. Unfortunately the sickness gets worse the more the remedy is taken.”
• Salman Rushdie, 1990: “The idea of the sacred is quite simply one of the most conservative notions in any culture, because it seeks to turn other ideas – uncertainty, progress, change – into crimes.”
• Pope Benedict XVI quoting a 14th century Byzantine emperor, 2006: “Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached”.
• Tim Minchin, Ten-foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins, 2005: “So you’re gonna live in paradise, With a ten-foot cock and a few hundred virgins, So you’re gonna sacrifice your life, For a shot at the greener grass, And when the Lord comes down with his shiny rod of judgment, He’s gonna kick my heathen ass.”
...to my knowledge, not one Muslim has taken to the streets of Ireland to protest these blasphemous comments against Islam lowing, not one. Please explain.
great quotes by the way. Wonder what makes these people feel this way about Islam. Any guesses?
Also back to soccer, the point is, during a game there is only 1 rule book being used and all players play by it. Or is it during the world cup players are allowed to pick and choose which rules they shall follow?
