Norah Jones is solid. Bjork is solid. Bajka is solid. Beth Gibbons from Portishead is good. Amanda Palmer from the Dresden Dolls is good. The chick from the Cranberries should get a mention too, her accent is sexy (although not as sexy as Bjork's).

I don't like her music or her singing but if we are talking about singing ability you'll find she's got most singers beat hands down. Carey has a 5 octave vocal range. It's not the best in the world but it's pretty insane.Gooners wrote:

Looking through my music selection, very little of it involves female vocalists, but from that select few I'd have to say Joan Jett. Don't know of many others that are quite like her.
