He's gonna crash the X6.
I never have any idea who the "stars" are, they really scrape the bottom of the barrel for the most part. Except the odd racing drivers and shit. I've always seen the "star" segment as pure filler.Snake wrote:
Tomorrows episode, final of the series:
Spoiler (highlight to read):
In the final episode of the series, Jeremy Clarkson makes a film about the BMW X6 and ends up conducting one of the most expensive road tests in Top Gear history. James May drives the new Vauxhall Insignia VXR, accompanied by Margaret Calvert, the designer of Britain's road signs; and Richard Hammond tests the 340,000 pound Lexus supercar on the Top Gear track.
The boys then try out the latest in electric personal transport in the studio, and the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is blues musician Seasick Steve.

The cars themselves sound great...no idea who the star in the car is tough
They could do something better with that time though, more cool wall, less random "stars"

Skittles we know you hate the star part, stop telling us every single fucking time
No it must be said continuously
Actually, this season they've had interviews worth watching. I wish they'd get Patrick Stewart to come back, though.
Next episode sounds hot. Just a shame they haven't lined anything up for the Mercedes SLS. I guess that'll be next series, though.

When do next series start?
There's another episode tonight... after that? I think the next one SHOULD start in March...
March?
Maybe later. Depends on how the filming goes. Final Gear will have an estimation after today's counter runs out.

i think it was enjoyable because it wasnt quite as mediocre as the rest of the series
some of the more satirical, subtle top-gear humour came back, none of this recent-series bollocks

Welcome back Top Gear! Oh wait, end of the series. Shit. Hammond crashing behind May on that skateboard was fucking epic. As was Stiggy punching Hammond
That LFA sounded extraordinary...shame about the price, and, that it is, a Lexus
To be fair, despite not knowing who the hell he was...Seastick Steve was quite a good guest.
Anybody agree with the Veyron being the car of the decade? I certainly do - it was my first thought along with the DB9

OK, off to bed. Once the link is live, you can find it on the homepage of www.finalgear.com (if you haven't figured that out by now). I'll post the synopsis and stuff in the morning. 'Night folks!
Clarkson's film had me in stitches
Seasick Steve was awesome too, best episode this series

That was definitely the best episode of the series. I laughed at it a lot. Good stuff all around .

It was ok, I didn't like it that much. It was mostly May's film that ruined it for me, it was so fucking boring.
Crap I had a whole load of things to say about it, but I watched it at 4am so I've forgotten them all.
In summary, not bad. Average TG, not an outstanding episode, but not as shit as the Art Gallery one.

Damn really liked Richards film.
Anyone else think the Lexus would look pretty good with the blue headlights as it appeared in the graphic novel images?
If you havent already, check out his Duel DVD. Got it for Xmas and it is fucking epic. The Sheriff wrote:

Testing cars for Drifting, Stiggy, Morris Marinas, and Tiff & Vicky from 5th Gear and lots of other great pieces, including African Bullfrogs Its Top Gear stuff, in Top Gear style but without Hammond, May and the Star in a Car...and all in Clarksons usual manner
Highly recommended.
