It would be pretty poor tbh. Slow loading times with the hard-drive, pretty bad graphics card, not great processor. The ram is the saving grace i suppose. Is there some reason you need a laptop?

Its not a good idea to game on laptops because of the heat factor.  Of course they will try to sell you gaming laptops but a sucker is born every minute.....

agree.

gaming laptops are a waste of money, laptops are supposed to be "mobile" not hardcore gaming, and a real pc costs a lot less

You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.

The Intel Core Duo is based on the Yonah core, which is similar to the Pentium M.  This means it uses a short pipeline and high IPC, much like that of the A64 chips, and is not using the Netburst architecture.  While it isn't Conroe, it's no slouch.  The benchmarks on Anandtech show the Intel Core Duo at 2GHz coompeting fairly well against similarly clocked Athlons.  It also has lower power use and heat output than a traditional P4 chip, making it far better for laptops.

Why MCE? Unless it costs a lot more or you want a living room PC go for XP Pro

512MB Video - completely pointless and you're very unlikely to need anything that big for atleast 2-3 years, get 256MB if its cheaper (and as above - ATI + BF2 can cause ALOT of problems!...just search here for an idea)

Floppy and wireless - if they cost extra only get them if you really need them, they won't help with BF2 will they?

Like others said I'd go for a custom built PC or from somewhere other than Dell. Yeah they make reliable PCs and have excellent business support, but for gaming you want to ultimate speed which generally they aren't.
