Ahh happy memories, my first ever proper graphics card was a Matrox Millenium G400, 64MB of epic win, it shit on anything friends had at the time   Sold it when it was VERY old for £40, turns out they're also amazing for bodging the output into SCART sockets on TVs so the chappy didn't mind paying through the nose for it

EDIT: aww aint it pretty?

I've searched and found that it happened to a lot of people but that there is no fix yet (not that I found anyway)  The same thing happened when Vista came out.

This was the fix for Vista

GOOD GOD YES

caps so I make it in time before you buy it. If you move a G9 too quickly your aim will spazz out turn around three times and point itself at the sky. The G9x fixes this.

Too late. I got a G9 but haven't had any problems like that yet.

I get this with my mouse (Microsoft Wireless Intellimouse 2.0) when I use it on my brothers couch for lan nights. When I'm on my wooden desk, no problems whatsoever.

Maybe it's the surface?

My laptop keeps freezing with zero response.  And its really common now, its driving me nuts.

All that happens is I can hear my HDD making noises and then if I mash buttons on the keyboard it gets louder.  Eventually if I keep doing it, it get more frequent and sometimes unfreezes.  Once or twice (this has been happening for about 4 or 5 days now) I've seen an error message about my display driver.  I've tried uninstalling the display driver and reinstalling and it didn't work.

The weird thing is, when I reinstalled the driver I couldnt get my full resolution   Then a Windows Update showed up and said it was an update from 12/12/2009, which I think is the day it started doing this.  So, what I gather from this is I cant get my full resolution without having crashes every 20 mins.. Any ideas?
Probably some of your hardware dying.
Anything more specific than that?  The laptop is less than a year old
It could be the hard drive. I would back up anything important asap just in case.  also find out the manufacturers name and see if they have a hdd diagnostic utility.

I'll look that up.  Also, it seems to happen a lot of the time when I open or close the top, even just a little bit

The fucking layout is confusing me. Luckily enough, I think the retailer I bought it off will cover my RMA to. So I'm trying them first to see.
