Currently working on my vet class badges (almost done) it would be nice to have a small section or guides.

I'd gear the data more towards vet badges since basics are pretty simple.

Example:

Vet knife
First you must have 50 total kills prior to a round
Second 7 kills in one round

Also note that for any of these bagdes etc team kill reduce count as -1, this comes in handy with explosives badges more than knife.

Suggestions:
- snipers are easy targets, watch and listen for "Sniper spotted"
- Commanders are generally within command windows and you can simply walk up to them
- play sniper/special op's they can run farther. You can generally chase down a support or attack from behind.
- Aim at the back of the neck and neck for assault and support when sneaking up behind. Other classes the head is easiest of a 1 slash kill.

Pistol
- use the special forces or sniper pistol, it allows you to get in those extra shots before your spotted.

I could use some suggestions on getting the vet explosives.

Suggestions like stick C4 on a Blackhawk/APC's loaded with 6 people DUUUHHH are useless.

A better version of above would be...

On the M-City map place C4 on the heli-pad run away, wait for it to crash then load with people. Detonate as soon as the chopper starts to move or people step away, etc.
Place landmines infront of the tank spawning loctions at ... ... ...

Other tips

The AA missile location is great on Dragon Valley to get enemy choppers to the northwest.

Specific good places to get your knife badges are.. In Mashtuur City, on top of the Mosque spawn point. There are always at least 1 or 2 snipers up there with their backs to you, prone.  Hell, I've even seen up to 5 snipers up there, and knifed them all.

When knifing, always try to get behind the enemy.  If your commander is scanning the area, look for moitonless dots, and approach them from the opposite way you are facing.  Wait around corners, or jump/dive around them, and stab them in the head.  Always keep moving and jumping.  Be where they do not expect to be hit from.  On Karkarand I always book it into the enemies base as fast as i possibly can, then come in from a direction they are no expecting.  Use cover well.

Pistols.  I find the sileneced pistol the best, because the enemy often cannot tell where it is coming from.  It is actually a very useful weapon, and if you are good enough, it can be used to get headshots from pretty good distances.

Knifes: Stab them anywhere. One hit, one kill. (I can verify that too -- the number of "hits" in your stats for the knife is exactly the same as the number of "kills")

If you're talking about the group of large buildings that you can climb up that overlooks the mosque, I think I can offer a bit of advice/warning considering that's one of my favorite spots to snipe from.

First off, it's not always going to be as easy as running up the ladder and knifing the guy while he's sniping. Any good sniper will ALWAYS plant Claymores at the top of the ladders or some other place where you wouldn't see them before it's too late. So you should always use caution when trying to take out snipers, instead of blindly trying to run up behind the crosshair blip on your radar without clearing the area first.

Yeah, Its just that this place its not a ladder, its just stairs, and if the enemy team owns it, they probably wont place claymores as it is right in the middle of their spawnpoint and they would end up killing way to many people on their own team.  But yeah, definitely check for claymores

Are there truly official servers where they are knife and pistol only?

-1 for teamkills is bullshit, i got my first explosive badge by jihadjeeping, and i got the badge at the exact amout of kills UBAR stated. This didn't change in the patch, since a friend of mine got his veteran explosive ordinance by doing the same thing yesterday and at 23 kills he got the badge

This is semi-relevant.  In one round I decided I would get the basic pistol badge.  Easy.  Then i went on to get more than 7 kills with the pistol in that round.  Unfortunately I did not already have 50 kills with the pistol "under my belt."  I am currently at 47 pistol kills, if I get 3 more will i get the vet pistol badge or not?

And if the next round i play I decide to use only pistols or whatever, and I get 7 kills in that round, will I get the vet badge, keeping in mind that when i get my 7th I will have more than 50 pistol kills but not before the round started

I'm not talking about self kills I'm talking about TK'ing others, wondering if anyone else saw something similar for any ribbon badge.
