Is this a Democrat's wet dream or Republican's nail in the coffin?

I hope you're kidding. The GOP certainly has people that can hold their own under pressure (whether you agree with them or not). Palin is deer in headlights.Dilbert_X wrote:

I reckon they don't.
I thought only like 50% of Americans actually bothered to vote?Spark wrote:
Surely out of the 40% of America which vote Republican they can get a ticket better then that.

Well if they don't vote they're not counted, are they?DrunkFace wrote:

Me too. Lets make it happen!rdx-fx wrote:

Pretty sure Palin is smoking rock.Anyone who thinks she is seriously going to make a presidential run is smoking rock.
Palin would try and drag the GOP to the right.rdx-fx wrote:

Palin will continue to test the waters as an independent.
IF by some miracle, she gets enough popular sentiment, then the GOP might invite her back into the fold.
But only if they see she's taking so many votes away from the GOP that they're forced into that position.
The GOP really does not want to come back to the center of the US political spectrum.
They're perfectly happy to stay out there in the Bush/Cheney right field.
It would take a clue-bat the size of Florida to get the GOP to wake up and notice that they're not going to win without a serious drift towards the center. No.. wait... we tried using a clue-bat the size of Florida, and it didn't work.
I would personally love to see an independent centrist party just completely destroy the Obama Left and Religious Right.
Palin sees that opening in the center of US politics, but she just isn't the one to make it work.
Yeah... but that doesn't mean they have to voteKmarion wrote:
We could always make them go to the polls eh?
I was speaking very general. Voting is a right afaik.Spark wrote:

This was in response to my dragging-right comment right?Kmarion wrote:
She did. What people fail to realize is when she did that MANY GOP'ers crossed parties.
Ya know because you want lower taxes, states rights, a strong border, and are pro business =/= a snake charmer. This is why I hate political labels.
