I was looking up whatever happened to that show Moment of Truth since I used to watch it occasionally.

Pretty simple show people answer the person questions about their lives correctly they win money. It was sometimes sad and sometimes funny, anyway FOX canceled it because some woman admitted to cheating on her then husband on the show.

So if a network puts up a TV show that contemporary culture find morally reprehensible, but not illegal, and you find to show to be enjoyable to watch for whatever reason would you still watch it or since it's wrong at some level would you not watch it?

If there was something like the book Running Man on television would watch it? It would be pretty unfortunate to be on the show but at the same time the contestants did put themselves on the show willingly.

If it's entertaining I'm going to watch it, if it isn't I'm not. As amusing as it is for you to tell me about retards on shows like that saying they have cheated/would cheat/etc. I don't like the fact that people with intelligences of that caliber exist shoved in my face.

I would say in general that the moral value of a show and its entertainment value are independent of each other, but still loosely correlated.

Running Man is such an extreme example it's hard to answer seriously. What is consider "responsible" TV viewing in a world where a snuff show is allowed on television would be a vastly different world from ours.

If the program makers depend on advertising and therefore viewing figures - if you don't want to contribute to their pockets because you think its reprehensible don't watch it.
