I have a HD5870 and an i7 920, it looks bad and runs bad
Well you're doing something wrong then. Runs fine on my computer and my specs are lower than yours on the GFX end.
My e6750 and 8800GT run it fine.
Don't suck so much. Not hard to get significantly better than a 2:1 with all the people on that can't aim atm.
l2p kthx, if you can't play you don't deserve to play WAT.

I'm one of those who can't aimFlaming_Maniac wrote:

Last round I had 5 kills 23 deaths...
Both of you, what is "fine"? that tells me nothing. Is fine getting over 60fps? on what settings?
Fine is I was having wayyyyyyyyyyy too much fun shooting bitches in OUTER SPACE to look down at my keyboard for my framerate. There was no noticeable lag.
Zim I don't know about you, I am pretty good spatially, like those questions about flipping a cube and what is on x side, etc. I want to show this game to my mom, I think it will make her puke.

I'm playing on high and with high FPS (I don't know what it is because I can't care to check. It doesn't stutter, so I don't care).Lucien wrote:

@ FM - I just hate it how sometimes he goes sideways when I'm shooting. The gun feels a bit weak as well. But yeah, I'll have to practice.
For those that don't have it the gun has 60 bullets, high ROF, and takes maybe 5-8 bullets to kill someone. I like it because they keep the gun very accurate at longer ranges and has no recoil (becomes more inaccurate with sustained fire, but doesn't track upwards), but at the same time it takes enough bullets to kill someone that you can get behind cover before someone snipes you. If someone just chills in the open at long ranges you can finish him off, but otherwise the 1v1 battles are pretty sustained outside 10m and your overall accuracy makes a bigger difference than whoever gets off 1-2 shots better first.
Please tell me they were smart enough to not include bullet drop, especially when sniping?
Hell no bullet drop.mtb0minime wrote:

In the same vein the explain the "no sound in space" by having a "sound simulation" start up on your HUD every life. If you want to turn it off you can, and everything is silent but the "ow" when you get shot.
Now that is freaking cool. Granted it's not very good to do that for the sake of tactics or playing against other players who can 'hear', I'd definitely give it a go and go exploring around some maps.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

If your suit gets damaged, then your "sound simulation" disappears. Real pain in the ass sometimes.
Put it on lowest settings so I could at least play it properly
1) boost towards enemy territory
2) disable HUD
3) glide behind enemies unnoticed
4) shoot at enemies/re-enable HUD
5) lots of kills

I am preeeeeetty sure disabling your HUD doesn't change how other people see you. Are you sure?
Feels like Undertow as a 3D FPS shooter (space instead of submerged)?
ohhhh I see you can
I think it disables other people from automatically seeing HUD boxes around you.Flaming_Maniac wrote:

Yep.
I always though that was just people who had been EMP'd, but you can basically do it to yourself.

Yeah I was just floating through the middle of about 12 people trying to kill each other. Nobody noticed me
So there's one weapon and it's just a multiplayer deathmatch?
Yes.
Playing this game makes me spatially confused afterward. "oh my view is tilted" "hey I should stand on that wall" "let's float over there"
Looks sweet and your comments tempt me so... but I have too much work to justifying buying more games I don't have time to play
