Still, it's not like they NEEDED two modes anyway. The previous version basically was a news/live feed in itself that would get updated when people did shit.
You can still have the old version. No big deal.. I like options.

And of course the REALLY old version where there was the creepy guy in the corner. And high schoolers went to hs.facebook.com. And college students (for example, Harvard students) went to harvard.facebook.edu
edit: The new "News Feed" option is fucking stupid. I see at the top a status from four hours ago, below it a status from an hour ago, below it a status from 9 hours ago, below it a 'news story' from 2 hours ago. Chronological fucking order please.

2) they change it for no apparent reason to something that probably was requested by like 3 people
3) massive outrage, people make groups yelling at Facebook to change back
4) time goes by and people get used to the change and actually start to like it

It doesn't really bother me, i'm only on it like 10 minutes a day to see whats new, talk a bit, PLAY FARMVILLE LOL!!!!, but in a way its kind of ghetto, I rather see all the feed in 1 page instead of having to click news/live

Although the Highlights thing on the old site was pretty shitty/broken, I very much like the separation it gave between photo's/notes and status's/news.
Ideally, I'd like them to put it back to the way it was, but change highlights to show ALL the recent albums/notes/postings from all my friends.(I'm actually friends with most of my facebook friends so it's not a spam problem)
Then have the wall/feed show EVERYONE'S status updates(but with the option to disable some), and also show notes and albums of my close friends.(Those that I interact with a lot)
Soo basically the old-old way with the "more From" "less from" "more pictures" "Less pictures"

And you can't get "More from"/ "Less from" you can only eliminate completely.
You can kill the apps people are using without completely deleting the rest of their notifications. That's the biggest thing for me (screw off Farmville/Mafia wars/whats your favorite dildo color?).
