Does anyone out there know of any good war games? I love RTS and single player games. I hate that space shit and the future bull shit. WW2 and iraq own. If u can list a game that would be nice.

P.S - i was thinking bout C&C Generals ( is it good?)

I got c and c gnerals!IPts good gets boring after a while and i cant get it to work online!

Anyway id get that but not the zero hour booster as it an attempt for Ea to get more money.Seriously the only new additions are a few missions and motorbikes.

Other good iraq games and conflict desert storm 1 and 2 and i like soldier of fortune.

OK. Here is the 60 min trial: URL Can't find the demo that fast. They have an addon now lol. I didn't even know it.

It is very accurate to WWII. There are some very nice features too. Unfortunately, the AI is a little buggy. You may have to micromanage a column of tanks to cross a bridge. Still a good game though.

C&C generals + expansion pack "Zero Hour" owns, the game is kinda getting old but still really cool to play
Empire Earth II is awsome but way diferent that C&C

Personally i prefer C&C Generals

If you really want to do some serious wargaming on the computer, I recommend Hearts of Iron with the CORE Mod 0.91 or Hearts of Iron 2 Doomsday.... But I would actually refrain from it if you want to see little sprites walking over a fictional map killing each other... those two are grand strategy games, not this puny tactical stuff

C&C Generals is fun.

There's a new WW2 game being developed from its engine (looks alot better, but then Generals had to be toned down for the average computer), but I forgot the title. I'll bring it up here if I remember.

Haven't played any, though. One thing I wish strategy games would do is give units more autonomy in basic tactics, such as taking cover and frogleaping. Give it a bit of a realistic feel.

If you want some tactical fun, but more FPS than RTS, try Sniper Elite and Full Spectrum Warrior.
