Gunslinger, you and I agree on allot of shit, but bro, you are the one who is throwing around race. Not anyone else, just you. You have got to see that everyone welcomes immIgrants with open arms to America. No one cares about race. The only thing we care about is that whoever comes here does so legally with the intention of becoming an American and contributing ( pay taxes like the rest of us ). the people we are talking about have no interest in America other than exploitation and you know it. I do get defensive over being called a racist because all you are doing is trying to skirt the real issue here, and you are doing that because the real issue with illegal immigrants is indefensible.

I would love to say that I was smart enough to run immigrant through spell checker but I am not lol.

I really do agree with your views on this whole issue man, especially when I know illegals that have no intention of assimilation.  But you cant say that Im throwing that word 'racist' without cause when you could read a lot of the other posts on this thread.  A lot of the shit i read really got me angry, how do you expect me to take a persons opinion serious when they make jokes and comments that are not humorous and just offensive.  I cant get into this topic without saying 'racist' when it seems that a lot of these post are just deragatory towards hispanics in general, not just illegals.



I dont like to correct peoples spelling because I believe writing is an evolving process and I make quite a few mistakes on my own.  But, whenever I read your posts I kept on saying imaaaaaahgrant in my head.

Well I standed corrected on my spelling

And you may be right, there my be allot of racists posting, and I will conceed the point, if you conceed that this issue has nothing to do with race and white Americans are not the only group of people in the world who can carry the racist lable. Racist is most definately a multicultural disease.

The ironic thing is, you don't have "white" people labeling anyone. It is the hispanics that want to be "hispanic Americans" the blacks want to be "African American" the asians want to be "Asian American". The minorities are the ones begging for a separate identity. You don't see anyone running around identifing themselves as "European American", "English American" , "Canadian American", "Australian American". etc....we are all Americans except for the ones bitching that white people are all racist. lol

Ive been confused for being black, arab, persian, hindu, native american, philipino, micronesian and the all famous mexican. The only label I carry is American. 

I got something Id like to hear your opinions on:  What about the thousand upon thousands of foreign students that come to the united states just for school, with no intention on staying after their education is complete.   My school has a huge population of asian students and a large portion of them are red chinese who are just here to take advantage of an education, the second they get a degree its back to red china.  Now,are they not using our institions of higher learning for their own benefit and not for the benefit of american society.  A lot of them get scholarships and financial aid all paid for by the tax payers.  Just wanna know your thoughts on that, because although they are here legally (most cases) they most certainly dont plan on assimilating into american culture, is that not loosely along the same lines of the whole problem with illegal immigration?

The key words are "here legally". If they feel they can get a better education in the US then so be it. they obtained the previlage to come here and go to school here legally. As far as the scholarships go, aren't they funded by either a sponsor or the univerity itself? I don't think they are funded by the tax payer are they? I really don't know. I don't think govt. grants are a great idea for those that have no intention of bettering America with their education. But hey, if all is legal, well then I can live with it, or write my congressman about changing it. But those people following the laws of the land have no ill will from me.

And no I don't think it is the same thing at all. Again it is a difference between breaking the law and taking advantage of the law.
