Tell me if im stupid. (prob am, but w/e) With today's tech y cant it tell us precisly when to drop the bomb on an emeny tank. I no with the bombsignal it'd b easier for noobs though, but i dropped 8+ bombs on a tankin wake...dead around it my friend was following me with an f-35. The signal telling you when to drop the bombs are a very realistic...and helpful addition.

yuck, i dunno man, as accurate as some of the pilots i've seen are, the last thing they need is something telling them "exactly" when to drop them.  I hope it's left alone

Map your look behind key to your joy stick and use it after a drop to see where they hit so you can better judge your next drop.

Well im guessing its just you! over 50% of the time i can kill things with just 1 bomb but them odds aint good enough so i drop 2 and almost all the time kill what im aiming for?. All you need is more practice!

They're bombs, aka dumb bombs, aka no guidance at all. Pay attention to the little moving bar that floats neer your crosshair and drop accodingly. Put the f9-f11 view keys on your POV hat if you've got it

I'm with the Smurf on this one, it's all about practice.  Get the timing down and just one bomb (and maybe a caress with the cannon) can ruin a tank's day.  I don't use the "pickle" line, it's all eyeball and timing with my dive bombing.  A near miss can hurt a tank, a direct hit can wreck it.  The closer you can get to the target before releasing, the better your chances of hitting are (better precision, less chance of the target moving out of the way, etc).  The trick is to do it without slamming into the ground or taking splash damage from your own bombs.  It's pretty easy to blow yourself up in a SU-34/F15 with a full 5 bomb release if you aren't careful.

I've gotten pretty good at level bombing too, something that works especially well against tanks on Wake where the terrain is fairly flat.  Come in low, fast, and level, strafing the target, and release the bomb(s), then pull up or bank.  The trick is to have just enough altitude and speed to smack the bombs onto the target where they'll explode on impact with the tank, doing maximum damage.  The benefit of this is that by being low, you're harder to spot from a distance, AA has a harder time locking on (they're usually scanning the sky high), and you put the fear of God into the guys you're flying over.

Another method is "Lobbing", for when you've spotted a target when you're low for one reason or another, and don't want/can't take the time to setup a level run or dive attack, or if you'd run into something if you did. This is especially handy on Kubra with all the obstacles.   What you do is basically a shorter version of the level bomb run, but right before you release the bomb you pull up hard on the stick, and right after the nose comes up (but before you bleed off too much speed), drop the bombs.  This "lobs" the bombs in an arc.  It's great for putting bombs inside a hanger or on a flag like the MEC airfield on Kubra, and it's also a good way to make a "snap" bombing run while somebody else is on your tail.

With a lot of practice, you can do banking bomb runs...same as the lob run, but instead of climbing, you release right after you've made a hard bank..the bombs will still travel in the direction the nose was pointed when you released, though on a flatter trajectory (unless you bank and climb at the same time, then it gets REALLY hard to put them on target).  Get REALLY good, and you can do it at any point in the turn, but that means knowing where the target is (or will be), since in normal cockpit view you can't see what's on the outside of your turn.

Get good enough, and you'll find yourself wanting to fly the 2 bomb fighters more than the 5 bomb bombers.  The fighters are faster, more agile, smaller targets, and with only 2 bombs, there's much less chance of TK's, but still plenty of firepower (combined with the awesome cannon) to do the job.  Although there's something to be said about getting 10+ kills in one bomb release with an SU-34 or F15.
