With the sixaxis it was hard to control and not fun at all, with the steering wheel it's such a pleasure, worthy investment tbh!Varegg wrote:
Only driven it with the sixaxis so far ... takes a little time to get used to because it accelerates so damn fast and braking grip is equal to zero ... while you can brake another car around a turn that is hopeless with the F1 ... will try with my G25 later this week ...Gooners wrote:

omg that's cheating
mate
F1 with a steering wheel is the BEST THING EVER.
The satisfaction of having done all the races myself (hint hint) is way better me thinks ... also improved a couple of races so I now have
32 Gold 4 Silver and 4 Bronze
Make that 33 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze ... also now own all cars

I played it for a bit. Graphics are awesome, but I think its one of those games that you need to have a proper steering wheel for.
However Im probably still too familiar with the gameplay and controls of NFSU2 on the PS2.

noice
I eventually got the Ferrari F2007. It's nice, but, I dunno, GT probably didn't beat F1:CE as much as I hoped it to do in F1. I know F1:CE is a dedicated F1 game, but maybe I was left a little underwhelmed. Then again I haven't really sunk my teeth into the car yet. And also, I have no idea what it's really like driving an F1 car anyway.
Still awesome though

What times can you guys get with the F2007 F1 car on Suzuka. So far I've only been able to get ~ 1:35 as my best time. - I could get it faster with lots of laps though. I mainly find the initial sector the hardest. The bit that makes up the "East/Short course" with all the ups and downs and turns and huge sand traps. The rest isn't much of a problem to get done at a reasonable pace
Taking the 130R corner at full throttle going that fast must be one hell of a thrill IRL because I get excited doing it in GT5 with the F1 car.

On time trial? I think I managed a 1:30, in race mode when you can cheat with the aero, I think I have managed into 1:25s. I suggest practising with the max aero in race and gradually turn it down till you get to time trial levels (and change the tyres). I tend to find, I loose a lot of time at the hairpin, turn 11, since with the G25, in GT5P atleast, you cant mess around with the steering lock settings. Feeding a full lock wheel while going F1 speeds is not so great Spoon can be a bastard too.Mekstizzle wrote:

Yeah on time trial it was, so standard unchangeable settings. I could whittle that down if I really kept on going at it, but I don't really have the dedication to, if I had a wheel I'd be more inclined to try harder.Bell wrote:
