But apparently it's not allowed to have a single highlight on your hair, as I did across my fringe, because it's not 'even'.
Even if that is a rule it's hardly worth being sent home over, they should have let you stay the day and told you to change it tomorrow. It's stuff like this that makes the kids hate teachers and stop learning.

They can't do shit about what you can and can't do to your hair. it's your body ffs. If your parents are fine with it, get them to call the school and complain.

My old school used to do the whole "natural colours only" thing. At one point they were going to ban hair gel, because it made boys look "scruffy" but so many people complained they decided against it.
This is the school that says you can only take your jumper off when they say it's summer uniform. Even if its the fucking hottest winters day in the world, you had to keep your jumper on while you were on break. And in lessons you had to ask to take it off. Summer uniform, take it off all you want. They were fucking weird there. Always on about how you must all look the same, all look smart, bla bla bla. It would make sense if our t-shirts were different from our jumpers. But they also had the fucking school logo on it. Oh. And hats weren't allowed at our school at all unless you bought one of the school ones, in school colours, with the logo on the front.
Fucking glad I left there.

One pink streak is obviously the starting of a youth revolution...it starts with highlights, then moves to hat wearing, and before you know it, the kids have overthrown society and are all doing drugs and having sex in public places.
