what is another reason to go then?nlsme1 wrote:
But they can. As long as it is not life threatening. Even then their "duty" ends when they are no longer in a life threatening condition.
You really think 100% of hospital visits are life threatening? They can refuse you if it isn't.
i am asking why in gods name you would go if it isnt life threatening.nlsme1 wrote:

Because it hurts? Broken arm isn't life threatening, but it's not going to fix itself.
you can go to a public hospital and get that taken care of. why are you guys arguing with me? this is fact. plain and simple.lghettoperson wrote:

You said hospitals cannot refuse. They can. I don't have a "public hospital" anywhere near me. It's called a debate.Red Forman wrote:
you are not getting the point. he is saying it is a human right. hospitals cannot refuse someone no matter what. thats my point.nlsme1 wrote:
If it is life threatening, and at twice he cost. The reason healthcare is so expensive is because of insurance. Why should hose who don' have it be forced to pay a premium price for a service that would cost less w/o an industry that is unrelated to them?Red Forman wrote:
they can go to the hospital and get treated already. what does human rights have to do with it?

2) I only read this page of the thread
Umm, go sit in a ER, unless you do think 100% of the visits are life threatening. That is beside he point I was trying to make. Insurance companies are to blame for the high cost of healthcare. That is fact. Why should someone who doesn't have ins. for one reason or another have to pay more for services because of an industry he has nothing to do with?
how old are you?nlsme1 wrote:

have you ever had to get treated at a hospital without medical insurance? i have.

oh and it seems those expensive fancy cars have the best safety features. so why do the poor get less safe cars? i want a fucking BMW right now.
It isn't "stuff". It is his body. How is a healthy population less important us as a society then anything the government does? Space exploration? Roads? Schools? Trillion dollar bailouts? Defense? Intelligence? Census's? Answer one of those, please.
As for what I want for healhcare. I want a system to where the only thing that will determine the quality/quantity of care one receives, is the amount one needs. Period.

without the space and defense program, you would most likely have the medical technology of somalia.
There is a differance between tangible goods, and quality of life.Red Forman wrote:

no. we are talking about safety features that can save your life or prevent serious injury.nlsme1 wrote:

Side Note: I wonder how much money BMW made from CFC. Shouldn't have missed your chance to get the government to subsidize that for YOU!
