But they can. As long as it is not life threatening. Even then their "duty" ends when they are no longer in a life threatening condition.
what is another reason to go then?

You really think 100% of hospital visits are life threatening? They can refuse you if it isn't.

Because it hurts? Broken arm isn't life threatening, but it's not going to fix itself.

If it is life threatening, and at twice he cost. The reason healthcare is so expensive is because of insurance. Why should hose who don' have it be forced to pay a premium price for a service that would cost less w/o an industry that is unrelated to them?
you are not getting the point.  he is saying it is a human right.  hospitals cannot refuse someone no matter what.  thats my point.
You said hospitals cannot refuse. They can. I don't have a "public hospital" anywhere near me. It's called a debate.

Umm, go sit in a ER, unless you do think 100% of the visits are life threatening. That is beside he point I was trying to make. Insurance companies are to blame for the high cost of healthcare. That is fact. Why should someone who doesn't have ins. for one reason or another have to pay more for services because of an industry he has nothing to do with?

It isn't "stuff". It is his body. How is a healthy population less important us as a society then anything the government does? Space exploration? Roads? Schools? Trillion dollar bailouts? Defense? Intelligence? Census's? Answer one of those, please.

As for what I want for healhcare. I want a system to where the only thing that will determine the quality/quantity of care one receives, is the amount one needs. Period.

There is a differance between tangible goods, and quality of life.

You better beleive safety regulations will catch up with technology.

Side Note: I wonder how much money BMW made from CFC. Shouldn't have missed your chance to get the government to subsidize that for YOU!
