I think the patch app only modifies files, it doesn't replace them. If you watch it, it operates on BF2.exe for example rather than just replacing it. That's why the patch file is so small, even when it's modifying large map files.ghettoperson wrote:

it is the weapon variable like m16A2 then u change to m16a2 medic/assault

Is it possible to put the weapon you killed/got killed with in the hud? I tried putting it in with the correct code but it would just say You killed XXXX with a WEAPON!
