Switzerland is like Belgium. Both of those countries make little sense seeing as they're just made up of whatever surrounds them. Belgium has a Dutch and French bit, and Switzerland with its Italian/German/French bits. No real unique identity tbh. In an ideal world they wouldn't exist, but it does, and probably will continue to despite what ColCarnage Gadaffi thinks
