To be honest, the only non-barcelona player who deserves any of these awards is Edwin Van Der Sar. The rest of the awards should be won by the Barcelona players. Messi as the forward. The only tough one is the midfield. Xavi and Iniesta have both been fantastic and both contributed to winning the Champions League (goal against Chelsea for Iniesta and assist for Messis goal in final for Xavi).

I still remember Vidic getting raped by Torres in the Man Utd vs Liverpool game, lol. He seemed to have quite a good season though. I never really looked much at the Barca defenders, most of the spotlight was on the forward players. Saying that, I'd still say Vidic was probably the better of the three defenders in that list.

I mean, I can't see Pique winning it tbh. It's going to be either Terry or Vidic, and my money is on Vidic.

Eh..... It's THIS year the award is going to. Not last year. Messi had a better season than Ronaldo did (more goals, more assists)... He also won the Champions League. He is also a better player than Ronaldo.

Non of those keeps has been that great, but I'll cive it to cech being a chelsea fan

Defenders, again it's tight between Terry and Vidic, but I'll go with Vidic (Pique? come on Zimmer, he's average, any time I saw him under pressure, he didn't exactly perform like a Terry or Vidic, he's good enough to defend in la liga, I'll say that)

Midfield - Iniesta without a doubt

Forward - Messi without a doubt

Yeah, the reason Arsenal have to go through this qualifying phase is because they finished 4th in the Premier League last season. Whereas Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea don't and will start later on when the tournament starts properly.
