I got my dads old hard-drive, he went to a laptop, and it had it on it.
He didn't purchase it either, he got it from a friend, illegal of course.

That's still an outrageous price for software. Along with that it has limited functions, right?Kmarion wrote:

I think the student version just means it's the full version, but you're not allowed to make money from stuff you create in it.Ioan92 wrote:

I still have CS3 on my laptop. Think a 3 year old laptop could handle it?Kmarion wrote:
Once you use it for a week you'll find it tough to go back to cs3.. course cs2 to cs3 was the same thing.
My favorite addition is opengl. Nice and smooth zooms, no matter the percent. It's something you'll appreciate nearly every time you use it.
I had cs3 on my other machine for awhile after I installed cs4 on this one. Every time I zoomed in and out on the old install I was like..

I'm currently on and using it on my 2 year old laptop and it runs fine. Adobe actually fixed some of the performance issues it had in CS3.OmniDeath wrote:

It has 2 gigs I believe. I'll try installing it later and see how it runs.Kmarion wrote:

How much ram do you have? That seems to be the biggest factor in adobe product performance. 2 gigs or more and you should be fine.
