208-8 when the fuck did that happen
generally it is advisable to hit (or at least play) at balls going towards the stumps

263 all out. Should be looking at getting at least about 250 today without losing too many wickets.
Well good luck.
Just saw yesterday's highlights and once again the umpires have had an epic fail.
Sorry but Bell was plumber than plumber than plumb. I don't honestly see how one can NOT give that out (Clarke, too, was fairly plumb and not given out... and then ironically was given out to one that was missing leg. GG)
At least Mitch is looking better, even if his figures aren't showing it. He's not bowling down-leg-full tosses and wide half-trackers on every ball any more.

Yeah I was pretty pissed with that Bell decision. Rudi reckons he heard 2 noises but I'm pretty doubtful about it.

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
wo aliens were visiting Earth to research the local customs. They split up so that they could learn more in the time allowed. When they met to share their knowledge, the first alien told of a religious ceremony it had seen.
"I went to a large green field shaped like a meteorite crater. Around the edges, several thousand worshippers gathered. Then two priests walk to the centre of the field to a rectangular area and hammer six spears into the ground, three at each end. Then eleven more priests walk out, clad in white robes. Then two high priests wielding clubs walk to the centre and one of the other priests starts throwing a red orb at the ones with the clubs."
"Gee," replied the other alien, "what happens next?"
"Then it begins to rain."

100 odd run lead. For England now though, put the Aussies in a for few overs this evening and there is a chance England could sneak a win here...
As gay as it sounds i really feel that Australia should be playing for the draw at this stage.
Whilst it is possible for them to win the odds are so slim and the English batsmen have proven themselves more then capable of staying in long enough to get a draw should Australia manage a decent score.
Although odds are it will rain and it won't matter *sigh* ooooo sunny sky

Was destined to be a draw before it had even started due to the weather, they should seriously start thinking about getting more results even if they have to keep a 6th day spare or something.
I suppose though like in Cardiff it works in the other teams favour that you can play for a draw.

If England win the next test starting in Leeds on Friday (I think) then its all over.
If Strayer win it, then England have to win the last test, a draw won't be good enough.
This is going exactly the way we thought. Too close to call at the moment still.
Well batted Australia yesterday.

Interesting.
Jonathan Trott called up, don't know much about him.
Sidebottom called back....really happy about this, he should be in the side, and he has been in great form for his county.
I say we should rest Flintoff and have him ready for the Oval, it is tempting to play him, but this would be the sensible move.

I know fucking karate
I'd bring Harmy in before Trott but its too close to call in regards to Sidebottom both good bowlers with Sidebottom having more consistant form over the last year or so, but I still think if he wants Harmy can be the most feared bowler in the world. I suppose Sidebottom does have a comedy name and seeing as they pick people like Onions then why not.
Hopefully the Aussies can carry their batting form into the Leeds match, if we bat like we did on the last day at Edgbaston then we'll hopefully bat into a strong position.

Fred is out but at the moment they havent said who is in instead
I love that it's an hour before play starts and we dont even know the players in each team.

Any news on Brett Lee?
None that I know of, hopefully he'll come back and start firing right away, although i get the feeling he won't play.

Stuart Clark in for Nathan Hauritz, no Brett Lee. Brad Haddins back in too, sweet
