How much do you pay/what is your lowest quote from an insurance company?
Gieco quoted me @ $4500/6mo:(

Iits most likely because I have only had my license for around a year and live in a largely populated area.ebug9 wrote:

Doesn't your fully comp insurance allow you to drive any other vehicle with 3rd party cover? That's what I always use when borrowing other peoples cars....JahManRed wrote:
nearly 33.
My insurance was £200 full comp for a 2.4 TDI Land rover defender with my dad as a named driver.
Plus £20 extra on my mums car insurance to add me as a driver. (for long journeys my permanent 4wheel drive rover is hard on juice)
My land rover is classed as light goods/commercial and is a separate type policy to a standard car. You cant cross over between the two. I can drive any light goods as long as they are full comp up to 5 tonne lorry.Bertster7 wrote:
My insurance was about £700 this year. Bit steep for a 2.0, I think anyway.Doesn't your fully comp insurance allow you to drive any other vehicle with 3rd party cover? That's what I always use when borrowing other peoples cars....JahManRed wrote:

Ah, makes sense. Still, at £20 it's not exactly a big deal anyway....JahManRed wrote:

I find that hard to believe.SEREMAKER wrote:
also a side note - age doesn't matter on insurance quote
if you're 16 or 46 and just getting your license for the 1st time --- you are an in-experienced driver and will be quoted the same
Holy shit.12/f/taiwan wrote:

Certainly not the case over here. Both are factors.
