Jesus H. Christ... has anyone here heard the fantastic 'Uproot' by dj / rupture? It's possibly the most eclectic, sonically-perfect and well-mixed project I have ever listened to; it combines just about every single genre from music and mashes them together in the most smooth-flowing progression of music ever put to vinyl. It just flows from afro-dub to concrete techno to all out vocal ballads and then back to subversive, heavy decibel drum and bass, and then over to rock-sampling and heavy clashes. It's not a tacky, thoughtless 'mash-up' album, either. It's a really well synthesized concept album, combining everything in a way that makes it sound like a sample-heavy, melodically-rich tapestry, as opposed to just some unimaginative layering of popular songs in typical mash-up style.
