The truth of the matter is that earlier when he played bf2 he actually played, now he just idles in his own serer which he admins in a vehicle, he'll most likely get reset when he ranks up
i dunno y they'd reset him for that, probably b/c ppl at EA are a bunch of sadists
So....if this guy gets the promotion, but is behind say Firestorm or Blazin, will he outrank them or will he be lower ranked but with a higher insignia?

Seems pretty clear to me.§2.3 You may not deliberately hinder your own team or acting in such as way as to cause team mates unavoidable deaths or team losses.

The ROE only applies to EA Ranked Servers Administrated by the BF2RS Admins and servers that apply these rules.Elamdri wrote:

I was under the impression that ALL ranked servers had to apply to the EA global rules or risk loosing ranked status.
why should he be reset ? RB is one of my clan members he is a server whore not a BF2 god. RB is a good guy very much a team player, he is always there when you need him. I know RB will command in a APC & cover a couple back flags as we take the fight to the fron flags..ACB|_Cutthroat1 wrote:

if you are AFK for to long or not playing the game you will be kicked. But he does not just seat & whore a vehicle, if he is commanding & watching the back flags & if his team needs the vehicle he jumps out or helps attack a flag. Again if you missed it RB is a team player & enjoys help other players on the server. Just because he does not "OWN" everyone in the server does not mean he does not deserve the rank. The guy loves to play Battlefield 2 & is a asset to the game because of all the players he has help with the game. How many of you guys have seat in a server with 3 or 4 players in it to teach new players how to command or fly a helo ?! Wolves Den 66.36.238.238:16567

I was under the impression that if you don't have the requirements to make the promotion/rank BEFORE you get it then even when you do achieve it you still won't get it.
that requirement is only for First Seargent/ Seargent Major.. not applicable to General ranks
i played in his sever with him to see if he actually idles or not. he doesn't he even admits he can't fly a plane that well. he hopped in a plane with me and i even asked if it was ok for me to fly and he wasn't a jerk or anything. he siad if your up to it go ahead. he has to be the nicest guy i have ever seen at his rank. well one of them. hes a good player i don't see why alot of you guys on here are flamming on him. yes im envious of the top players but i dont go around saying of hes a hack or hes an idle'er, as long as they don't stat pad they are good in my book. and at last count hes 21 hours away from his expert. good luck and god speed.
you say he has no life, maybe he shares his account? ever thought of that? and ud have to have a low score per min ratio otherwise its nigh impossible to get that rank
he is in his late 30 & doesnot share the account, but I will let him post more info about him self if he was too.

so Non of you ever idle ingame ? come on guys everyone idles 1 way or a nother, do you really think loads of people play fear on this game? the fact is 1 way or a nother we all do bit of idling ingame sum more then others.

He does idle, having pathetic KDs for all vehicles along to the small amount of kills is perfect proof for that. It may be better than exploiting or stat padding, but the goal is still pretty much the same.
totally agree, dont know why they did it the way they did, took me about 10 seconds looking at the ranks when they came out to say "no one will ever be a major general because they will all have their kit badges by the time they get their last vehicle badge and will skip that rank entirely, all they have to do is switch the requirements for brig and maj general and then it will make sense"j3ster wrote:
And that's the stupid thing about the new ranks in that anybody who is about to get all the vehicle experts will definetly already have all the kit experts and over 200k points so everybody (apart from the odd few) will jump the 3 ranks (maybe 4) in a matter of 3 (or 4) kills.
EA should change the ranking system so reflect the following
Brig Gen = 180k + all kit experts
Maj Gen = 200k + all vehicle experts
Lieu Gen = 250k + all ribbons
General = 300k
Hopefully EA has realised this and are going to change it in the 1.3 patch but somehow I doubt it.
