Wow I was kicking arse during the Trial. I got like 25-5 KDR. The Rifleman class really is a killer class. Trial expired though
No problems so far, maybe a little lag here and there. I'll probably buy this.

Does it have splitscreen?
Very high draw distances + no AA = rape for split-screen.

Its ok, wouldn't have gotten it if it wasn't 15 bucks
The whole red dot over every enemy thing pisses me off though. I liked how in 1942, you could actually hide and sneak up on bases with your team. I remember laying in grass watching a few tanks drive right by me. Now everyone knows where you are and its just eh. Oh and they couldn't be assed to make a japanese rifle? why are they using the garand?

I think it's just very early days at the moment... that's how they justified selling it for such a low-price: they're intending for the game to be very arcade-like, with regular content updates in terms of maps/weapons/new content, etc. At least that seems to be the premise, what with the next map being unlocked after 43,000,000 global kills. Just encourages a good, lulzy time, imo. I enjoy playing it on the big LCD in the living room with my mates around - nothing serious, playing the game the way that it was designed to be played.

i just hope they dont release fucking karkand as an add on
Don't be stupid Karkand isn't based in the Pacific.
It's £12.00 quid, I think anyone that has serious expectations is kinda missing the point. EA are partially hopping on the 'casual games' bandwagon now with BF: Heroes, 1943 and, to a lesser extent, Bad Company. All of the games run on a great engine and are fun for what they are-- but it's clearly going to be a while before we see another Battlefield 2 in terms of scope, ambition and sheer gameplay. Personally, I see BF1943 as a nice middle-ground between TF2-esque fun and Bad Company/Heroes-style simplicity. Cheap, arcade fun.
Mind you, I'm not really fussy when it comes to console games - I regard them all as casual, part-time sprayfests. This game caters to that brief pretty damn well.

I agree uzique, but while I'm playing and loking around, I just remember having a lot more fun playing the exact same maps in 1942 with so much more to do
Yeah, this game is fun. Nothing is too frustrating, even the rifles. You look at it on paper and think it's abit too simple, but when you play it, it's nicely balanced and everything works. Alot of people are saying it's better than BC, I'd say it's on par, the weapons are abit more fun to use in 1943 though.
It's good to be playing Wake again too
One gripe is the HUD. It highlights the enemies for too long and makes it all abit too easy to pick people out or track where someone is. They need to tone that down abit as it makes it hard to ...do stuff.
The planes are fun, abit sluggish but I need to get used to them.
Iwo Jima and Wake are fun. Guadacanal is alright, that map would be better without all the Snipers. I usually just Vehicle whore in that map anyway.
Iwo would be better if it wasn't set during the obnoxious sunset, and Wake is Wake

Waiting for Coral Sea, dogfight-fest!!!!!!
Agree with Mek though on the HUD, it's the same in BC too

It's not as bad in BC though, it doesn't last as long and doesn't show up so easily either. You can just look or aim in the general direction and all of a sudden the enemies will show up on the HUD. I don't know whether it just counts for your squad or the whole team, but still.
Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the HUD. I thought I was just being anal <3
it's a nice kill fest to waste time in, so... <3
so is it worth my time to buy this game?
Um, the Japanese in bf1943 are using the type 5 rifle which is based on the M1 Garand.-=]NS[=-Eagle wrote:

The irony of guns, is that they can save lives.
pretty good for only $15 <3 $n1p3r R1fl3z

Yeah the Rifleman class is easily the best, but it seems that everyone else plays the infantry kit. Except that means easier kills for me when they're running back
Very good game. To be honest,it's better than Bad Company and its half the price.
Yeah just got back from more gameplay, I prefer Infantry now <3
Yeah i think it is more fun than Bad Company was, you're on PS3 right?Pvt.Kosak wrote:
