The Wienermobile has no Oscar Mayer at the tiller today. Retired company Chairman Oscar G. Mayer, the third in a line of Oscar Mayers who headed the famed hot-dog company, has died at age 95.
Mayer reportedly died in hospice care of natural causes. His grandfather, Oscar F. Mayer, founded the company, which is now owned by Kraft. The original Oscar died in 1955 and was succeeded by Oscar G. Mayer, Sr., who died in 1965.
