We always seem to leave our transfer dealings late.
Been linked with Martins from Newcastle which would be a good signing, but then the chairman comes out and denies any link with him (the same happened the other week with Ashton, after he said we had been in contact about signing him) something strange going on here methinks.

I think it'd be a decent move imo. Sure he's been dogged by injury and has been off-form but United would get him on a free and Owen would be so desperate to compete for a title that he'd take any wage cut from the £100k he recieved at Newcastle.

And on the Delilah one there are loads of stories floating about on who started it and why, but it started in the early 80's I believe (they certainly been singing it as long as I can remember), and tbh I just think that a group just started singing it when pissed up and it just sorta stuck since then.
Another one is that the old bill told a group of fans to sing something a little less offensive than your good old standard chants, and they started up with this.
Tbh no one really knows for sure why we sing it, but we do and bloody loud it is too!

Edit: btw there are rumours floating about that Cardiff have got Amdy Faye on trial at the mo, but I'm not sure.

Nah its not Amdy faye its some other coloured chap from Scotland. Sol Bamba I think. We opened the doors to training yesterday and he was there.

Yeah I saw a photo of this "mystery player" at training and tbh I didn't think it was him, and yeah it would seem that it's this Bamba guy.
