the claymore kill/death ratio is screwed up,
I get killed by claymores all the fuckin time!!!! and i have like only 4 deaths. But my c4 kill/death ratio is negative which is impossible since i rarely never get killed by c4. but use it all the time on vehicles

my ratio is 6.80 but this ratio is wrong, i got killed more then i killed people with claymores.

i think the death with something, is if its in your hands. i.e. you get killed with a claymore in hand, it counts as a death with claymore. correct me if im wrong

The way the explosives or any other weapon accumulates death is by having that weapon in your hands when you get killed. So even if you get killed by claymore, it doesn't mean that you will accumulate a claymore death. Claymore death comes from when you die with your claymore in hand.MooseRyder wrote:

In theory, a person could have 0 death and 1 million or more kills with claymore if that person doesn't have claymore at hand when they die...ever. There are some people who have really low K/D ratio with claymores. These people tend to be those sucky snipers who don't know how to use their rifle so they just run into enemy squad and use suicide claymore tactics.
That being said I have 10.81.
My roomate has 17.41... Bastaed...
EDIT: I was sniper ever since I played BF2. This includes the period before 1.2 where teammates always thought that big fu*king red skulls were power ups. they would stare at the claymore for two seconds and run over it thinking as if it is an arcade game where they acuire new item. Of course they don't even know what the hell they did wrong and punish me for the teamkill.
My roommate is post 1.2 generation sniper.

It's a pretty useless stat anyway as you don't go into combat with a claymore in hand, the only deaths you'll have from it is when you get killed while you're laying them.

It has been proven time and time and time again that the "deaths" under weapons is the number of times you have been killed WHILE HOLDING THE WEAPON LISTED, not the number of times you have been killed by that weapon.
At any rate, mine is 12 kills, 3 deaths, giving me a nice, even, 4 KDR.
