I am not quite sure...but aren't most states in trouble democratic run states. Michigan isn't far behind and is Democratically run as well.ATG wrote:

Indiana is generally Republican (the House is slightly more Democratic). Mississippi has a slightly Democratic legislature but a Republican Governor.DeathBecomesYu wrote:

I agree... it's not about the party anymore...they are one in the same.LividBovine wrote:
Who cares about Democratic or Republican run. They are all losing their power to the federal government soon. Neither one has been good for our country or their state. We all need to get off this party issue and figure out if we want to put our money and liberty in the hands of politicians or not.

Jesus will come back to Earth before the ca. state crooks give of their sales tax.Harmor wrote:
There's a 'tax commission' right now that's about to propose that California reformulate their tax structure to:
1) VAT tax
2) Reduce Income Tax from 9.55% to 6%, but make it 'flat'
3) Remove State Sales Tax
4) Add a 'Carbon Tax'
Right now if you make more than $47,000 (€33,627) you pay 9.55% income tax (or more, some counties go up to 10.55%)
We have a 9.25% Sales Tax (or more, some counties go to 11%)
Additionally all services (Haircuts, Carwashes, etc...), will be taxed.
Obama already said that they were going to consider a VAT tax. I don't like VAT taxes...it 'hides' taxes from the consumer.
Instead of removing the sales tax, you could raise it, but lower the income tax and lower property taxes.Harmor wrote:
