Transporter 3 is also good on B-ray
Doesn't support the MKV wrapper. The data inside is supported just mine. Use AVCHDme.Jenspm wrote:
Doesn't support mkv, afaik...Bertster7 wrote:
What about a PS3?Jenspm wrote:
I might as well try;
Do any of you know of any Blu-Ray players that support x264 mkv and NTFS?
There's a JVC and the LG BD370 - they support x264, but only FAT32, and are therefore limited to 4GB filesizes - which isn't even the size of most 720p rips.
The LG BD390 supports both x264 and NTFS, but isn't available in Europe (yet).
So, to make great success with a Blu Ray player that supports piracy - are there any alternatives?
(I won't be streaming over the internet here, it'll be with an External HDD).
Meh, I might just go for an entry-level Samsung, and get a WDTV instead...

Also, PS3's startup relatively fast compared to most BD players (they have better computing power). Sadly I have an older stand alone player.Mekstizzle wrote:
Well it depends, back when blu-ray/PS3 was just released. The PS3 was by far the best value for money as blu ray players were ridiculously expensive. I dunno about now. It depends on money really. If you can get a standalone blu ray player for much cheaper than a PS3 then there's no point.Jenspm wrote:
Blu-Ray player hasn't been purchased yet - will be buying on Wednesday.Mekstizzle wrote:
I'd also like to make smartass comment #76 by saying you should've bought a PS3 instead of a standalone blu ray player. Surely a player is a player.
That is a good point, I'd completely forgot. If anyone has any input on this, shoot.
If I buy another one it will support divx.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

Holy fucking shit, the Samsung LED supports x264 in an mkv format AND NTFS, both via USB, Ethernet or wireless!!

Ended up getting The Dark Knight, Casino Royale, Gangs of New York and Letters from Iwo Jima. The others on my list weren't available.
I kinda regret not getting No Country for Old Men.
<(:-( .. least you got Gangs of NY and DK. The first battle seen in Gangs of NY is awesome, a lot of pop/contrast against the snow.

Yeah, I looked for that and even asked in the store.Kmarion wrote:
