All of Saab?  Including the aircraft business?

Sounds highly unlikely. There's no way they'd have the capital to do that, they only sell 18 cars per year!

Saab Automobile AB is/was GM, so that's the only one.

Most of the time small supercar manufacturers are actually owned by huge giant ugly companies, but Koensesghegegegeg seems to be totally independent. This is funny, but I guess that's Sweden for you..

The article is a tad faulty because the deal is not on just yet ... they have agreed to enter negotiations, that's all so far ...

Koenigsegg does not the money for such a takeover but must rely on help from the European Investment Fund with backing from the Swedish bank giving guarantee for a loan if the deal goes through ...

Koenigsegg are investing big $ into making electric cars. They may use the Saab brand name to produce them under. Finally Saab may make some pretty interesting cars.

As we reported last week, Koenigsegg has been interested in Saab for some time. We suspect the reason is to have a mass production facility to build its upcoming electric car under the Saab umbrella, giving the company access to the worldwide market in the near future.

Cant wait to see what they may be like ( if it all goes ahead)

Saab and Saab Automobile are different entities. No way Sweden would allow a foreign company have control of their military aircraft industry.

Koenigsegg is buying Saab Automobile from GM.
On 20 February 2009, the district court of Vänersborg received a request for reorganization from Saab.[3] Parent General Motors plans to divest itself of the company by the end of 2009. On 11 June 2009, a letter of intent was signed by Koenigsegg and a group of Norwegian investors to purchase Saab.

Saab is still a Swedish company producing military jet aircraft and other military systems.
