1.22 Problems?

I installed the patch, went to go play BF2, i typed in EA US in my server browser looking for a server, but they were all red, so did my game not patch?... or is it like this for everyone?... please and thank you for any HELPFULL responses.

adding some notes- When i go to repatch from 1.21 to 1.22 it says that i need version 1.21 to install, so that means it must have patched or somthing... right?

So its not just me right?, and thanks, but i mean, when you are in BFHQ you can see #'s that represent your Patch version, but its like 1.1.2 5698 ..... so wtf patch is that?.. why cant they make it "Version 1.22" (EA is just being a pain in the ass i think )

Is it part of the roe that all ranked servers must be running the current patch?

I imagine this is the case.. sad thing is the only game on in Australia at the moment is a gamearena 64 player server running 1.21.

I went back and played Wolfenstein Enemy Territory but that game, which I used to enjoy so much, no longer holds a thrill for me. Annoying arcade shit.

I'm getting the same issue. Tried installing the incremental patch with no luck then tried the full install...and that didn't work either. Still reads 1.1.2716-548.0 (1.21) instead of 1.1.2720-552.0 (1.22).

after updating some messages got messud up

when UAV is deployed it says: KILLMESSAGE_VEHICLE_uav

and if someone kills another one with l96a1 it says: someone [KILLMESSAGE_WEAPON_gbrif_l96a1] another one

maybe my localization file is corrupted, i will check it

My friend has that kill message thing but that it is with the old patch (1.21) not had that problem myself though, not sure what it is

Same problem here...
Installed incremental patch. After that I either got the message "older version" or something like "you have a modified version".
Tried the full patch...same thing.
Never had a problem with those patches before, so I will try to make a complete resistall tomorrow if you guys have no other idea...

I remember hearing about a similar problem in the past and the solution was to go to the community tab and then there was another sub-tab (forget the name) and then you had to "activate" the patch. I went to the tab in question and sure enough there was BF2 and Special Forces versions 1.22 and the option to activate. But, sadly, it didn't work.

I can't install the 1.22 incremental again as it indicates that I do not have 1.21 anymore. So, I'm downloading the full install and will give that a go. All else fails, I'll be doing a reinstall. Arrrrrgggghhhh...!

Dumped BF2 and SF, reinstalled, patched with full 1.22 and installed EF. Works now.....fuckin EA bs.

Incremental also failed for me, as described above.

Only way forward seems a full reinstall.

EDIT : thought i would try the full 1.22 patch, from the same site (ea.com) i'd downloaded the incremental.

Noticed this on the 'Incremental'....

Tried the community tab and activated the 1.22 - No luck
Still reads I have 1.1.2716 installed.

When I go to multilayer, I have 70 servers only - must be the 1.21 servers I'm seeing.
I used the incremental patch.

Will try DL the full and see if it works.

Well 3 some hours later, I uninstalled BF2, and SF.
Defragged the HD to make sure everything was clean.

Re-Installed BF2 then SF then the FULL 1.22 patch and I am now OK.
Now showing 1.1.2720-552.0 as the rev.

And my favorites are back to Green and I'm back to 920+ online servers.

Looks like EA fuged us again in the patching process.

Luck to who ever else tries the incremental.

Any of you gents change your exe to BF21 or whatever as suggested for game improvement?

I did, it was still called BF21 when i installed 1.22.

So did a few of my clan mates who suffered the same problems, i'm looking in that direction.

Full reinstall did the trick anyway.

I did the same
1.bf
2. bfsf
3.full patch 360mb
4.bf ef

and..... ef doesn`t work : (

shall I reload the "small" 1.22 again?
(last time it crashed) or where is the problem?

Don't have EF, sorry can't help...... Thinking EF might not be worth .02 cents let alone $10.00
