So, I came across some random/odd facts that have probably dumped useful knowledge from my brain to learn, but fun nonetheless:

The first bomb dropped on Germany in WWII killed the only elephant in the Berlin Zoo
Johnney Depp lost his virginity at the age of 13 to a girl slightly older than him
Mark Twain didn't even make it through elementary school
Woman who read romance novels have sex twice as often as those who don't
Mark Wahlberg has a third nipple
Eagles mate while airborn
Boys who have unusual first names are more likely to have mental problems than boys with conventional names
A microwaved baseball will fly further than a frozen ball
You are about 1 cm taller in the morning than in the evening
4.5 lbs of sunlight strike the Earth each day (?)
Sound, at the right vibration, can bore holes through a solid object
Glass is actually a liquid at room temp
The most popular first name in the world is Muhammed

Any useless knowledge your full of?

rubber has a negative coefficient of expansion.... I don't know what it means...but it was the most useless random fact I ever heard.

Light particles (photons) have mass, I believe. This is memory from basic physics two years ago, so it might not be accurate.

What the fuck? Photons have a mass of 0. That is why they travel at the fastest speed possible, light speed (C).

I know about wave-particle duality. Photons (the particle form of light) have a mass of 0.

What'd that have to do with mass of photons?

Particle duality is photons having both wave and particle kind of qualities.

Ah. Hmm...

Most useless fact I know off the top of my head. This could take a while.

A good stab at the most useless fact I know is: - the brewing process for Guinness involves the use of the airbags from fishguts.

Will go ponder this one. Never thought about it... and I know a lot of useless shit.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.

Here's a good one from Max Hastings, when I was reading his books for yr 12 modern history.

The gunpowder used in Allied small arms during the Normandy conflict was of lesser quality than what the Germans were using, even at that stage of the war.

Pretty fucking useless if you ask me.

E = MC^2

Hence if energy exists there must be mass. Solar sails are a prime example of how light has mass.

Boiling water freezes quicker than cold water.  So when you go out to your car on those frosty mornings, don't pout the freshly boiled kettle on your window, it may crack, but WILL re-freeze quicker.

Yeah, Superior Mind is right. I didn't look at anything before I posted, so I'm not surprised I was wrong. I think we need someone who is studying physics to come and clarify this.

The only way I can envision that statistic being devised is that they took the amount of energy the Earth receives in a day from the sun and using it to calculate the mass equivalent using Einstein equation.

According to Wikipedia, solar sails function from radiation pressure, rather than the inertia of the light particles.
