The largest U.S. discount carrier by revenue will allow passengers to bring small dogs or cats in the cabin for a one-way fee of $75 on flights beginning June 17. The pet must be small enough to fit inside a leak-proof carrier stowed under a seat and remain there for the whole flight.

Is this a European or Asian thing because this is the first American carrier that I'm away of allowing small pets into the passenger cabin?
So now in addition to baby screaming I now have to worry about cats and dogs on a plane?
