In the NT we keep shit simple. Especially as in general all the 'recycling' stuff from those bins ends up in landfill. I seen it on TV once.

Green lid - Green Waste (Grass, plants, wood etc..)
Yellow lid - Recycling (Tin, Glass, Paper, the works.)
And we have two Blue lids because someone stole the pegs holding the lid on our original one and the Garbo's couldn't tell what bin it was, so the council gave us a whole new bin.
A week later, we got replacement pegs and they never took the bin back.
