I loved this game until it asked me to dig out my DVD to play it (which was across the state). Now I just like the gameplay.

Mothership Zeta sounds...interesting.

I think they might just be taking the whole random encounter with the spaceship exploding overhead (and the subsequent discovery of the craft/alien) just a taaaaaad bit too far though.

With so much DLC coming out, I'm just gonna wait to buy the GotY edition in the Fall that comes with all the current DLC packs as well as the announced ones. I really really wanna play this game again, but I'd also rather save some money

Just run the .exe straight from the Program folder, you don't need the DVD unless you want to run the Launcher that lets you turn mod esp files on and off.

Forgive my RPG-ignorance, but what exactly is 'tough' about freeze-pausing the gameplay and then conveniently lining up headshots on all the bad guys? Fallout is a great game but I don't understand the pretention of 'difficulty' that they're trying to promote here; my 'x' > your 'y', therefore you die... etc.

maybe they mean it as a "figure your away around and manage your items" tough

Finally beat Broken Steel...much, much better way to end the main quest than how it originally ended. Although the original was much more dramatic.

Spoiler (highlight to read):
I got scared for a second after I set the orbital strike to drop on the Mobile Crawler. I couldn't figure out how to get the fuck out of the Crawler and onto the top. Then I figured out you needed to unlock the doors through the computer. Pretty funny though, still. I thought I lost Fawkes for a second too But he reappeared back at the Citadel. Which you can also apparently destroy...
